While logged in with your gmail account, go to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/somcville. Underneath the “Science of Mind Study Group” heading,  click on the “Apply to join group” button. You’ll get a dialog window where you can set your display name,  link to your Google profile, set your email delivery preferences, and so forth. Then click the “Apply to join this group” button.  Google does not send a confirmation message, but you’ll get an email to the list generally within a week.

If you don’t have a gmail account, you can subscribe via email, using the instructions below:

1. Send an email to somcville+subscribe @ googlegroups.com (be sure to take out the spaces in the address)
2. You will get a “Join Request” email back from Google with a blue “Join This Group” button.  Click the button. This will take you to the group subscription page, and a dialog window will pop up as shown.  Be sure to set your “display name” to your real name – it makes it easier for us to maintain the list.  You can also set delivery preference.    Then click the blue “Save” button. 
3. If your address is a gmail address, you’re set.  If it’s something else, and it’s associated with a gmail address, please note that google will set your subscribed address to your gmail address.
4. Voila!  You are now subscribed to the google group.
