Dear God Spirits,

Rev. Robin Moore, from Richmond, will be teaching us HOW TO DO SCIENCE OF MIND TREATMENTS. This is a powerful, Five Step tool that will enhance you life.
This is an article from Living the Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes. It gives some insight on Doing Science of Mind Treatments.
SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT IS NOT WELL WISHING
When You give a spiritual mind treatment you are not wishing that someone will be healed. You are not hoping that someone will be healed. You are not asking that someone shall be healed. You are making definite statements in the Mind Principle about some person or situation, or you are entertaining a state of realization in your own consciousness for someone or something. You are not petitioning God to please do this, or that, or something else.
Not that there is anything wrong with this, because any sincere petition to one’s God will have a Power equal to the conviction of the petitioner. The Principle of the Law of Mind in Action must act on the mental attitude entertained and the words used, because this is Its nature. in doing this It must correspond with the acceptance of the one making the petition.
When we say that spiritual mind Treatments is not well-wishing we are in no way criticizing the sincerity or the Spiritual Power of any form of petition. What we are doing is restating our own position by saying that we cannot believe in a Supreme Power which acts more favorably for one than for another. Such a belief would immediately take us out of the realm of Law and Order into the realm of chaos. We should never criticize any person’s form of prayer, nor should we try to convince a person that our method of communion with the Invisible is superior to his.
But when it comes to a conscious use of the Principle of Mind we must not forget that we are dealing with such a Principle. Therefore our method of procedure is different. Instead of asking for something, we are accepting something. Instead of hoping that something will happen, we are endeavoring to know that it has happened or is happening. This is a fine point in the Science of Mind and it should not be overlooked.
We believe in Spiritual Communion, which is the drawing of the essence of Reality into our own minds through keeping the thought uplifted and in tune with the Ultimate Harmony. We believe that the Divine Presence is immanent in everything and in every person. This of course is the very basis of our assumption. It is the rock or the foundation upon which our edifice is built. Man not only can talk with God but he can receive a direct answer through intuition. Through such communion he enters into the realm of Reality and imbibes the Spirit of Truth.
In giving a treatment we proceed on the assumption that there is an intelligent Creative Principle in everything and in everyone which responds to our word exactly the way we speak it. There could be no Science of Mind unless this were true. Therefore a spiritual mind treatment in actual operation is a series of statements logically presented to the Principle of Mind, based on the assumption of Perfect God, Perfect Man, and Perfect Being.
Looking away from the appearance, no matter what the appearance may be, and turning to Reality, our statements are made to conform with the Relities felt. God is all there is; therefore this negative condition need not be and should not be and is not.
In the argumentative method of treatment the argument proceeds along this basis until the practitioner comes to the logical conclusion that, since God is all there is, and since harmony constitutes the only Reality, this person or this condition does of necessity conform to Reality, this word is the law of elimination to everything that disputes or denies that which is Perfect.
A combination of feeling the Divine Presence and making statements in the Law of Mind constitutes both inspirational and scientific spiritual mind treatment. Therefore it is plain that such treatment is not well-wishing, hoping, or longing. It is not a petition. It is a bold, flat, definite, predetermined statement, concise, clear, and dynamic.
Looking forward to seeing you Sunday. Blessings & Love Kathy McConnin
