When we let go of the mind chatter, the Still Voice can be heard and understood. Many stories told during this time of year have the element of listening. Ernest Holmes said that he would listen to the silence until spoke, and sit in the darkness until he saw light. Light can represent understanding, truth and intuitive insight, and these often come about in our darkest moments. Inner light and illumination were always available.
